Background
Vanilla Design Ltd was started in 2007 by Brent Wilson and Mark Colley. We are based in Dunedin, New Zealand but happily source and ship our products worldwide. Mark and Brent had some ideas for cool products they would like to get developed. In addition to looking to wholesale these products they thought it would make sense to sell directly from their own website. Then, in the process of bringing these concepts into production, they identified a number of other people who either had interesting products they didn't plan to sell (so they licensed them) or had developed something great but lacked the marketing and sales channels to reach a wider market (so they stocked them) .
Design philosophy-"simply designed"
Over the years we have had a number of influences on our opinions to that eternal question "what is (good) design". Our personal tastes lean toward simplicity and pragmatism.
