Maybe the high unemployment rate compel the China goverments, enterprises and workers try to creat job chance in their sides. You know high unemployment rate is not only a economic problem, very a political problem. Some source back to China is a good thing to the whole world. That can make China better. We are confident to our low labour cost in custom injection molding, but we also need a healthy China in economy.

We see that there is a trend that many US companies would move their factory back, so it will have bright future but not now. I think it is an addition to not a replacment. If a customer has an idea of something, it is beneficial to 3D print a part before investing in the tooling and mold sampling to make sure the function would fit the customers criteria. Because the process is so slow I don't sewe it replacing the Molding Industry.

We plan on utilizing a reversing conveyor to reject bad parts from an automatic injection molding operation. My machine is capable of monitoring 24 + machine variable outputs, and I'm wondering what everyone thinks. Would it be a heater band, fill time, cushion position, etc? What do you think?

Now I have not used one of the cavity pressure systems, but know many who have: They used the system to compare the pressure curve to the standard, then let that system reject the parts.
My only caution is to use a reversing conveyor. You will not be absolutely sure that you got all of the suspect parts off the belt before the next shot. I would urge you to use some automation to reject the parts.
Depending on your volume requirements it can be fairly cost effective. I know a area that has made these molds for a number of companies -- I've seen the molds, pretty impressive.
