Shanghai SIPI Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a state-controlled group company headquartered in Shanghai City, with four manufacturing divisions supplying APIs, suppositories, film-coating pre-mixtures, bio-chemicals and formulations.



Established in 1979, our company was set up and invested by Shanghai Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry (abbr. for SIPI), which is a comprehensive domestic supreme pharmaceutical research institute founded in 1957, with more than 700 of chemical engineers.



From the initial start, we have acted as a pilot plant of SIPI, offering manufacturing capabilities from gram scale up to metric ton scale of compounds. Over nearly 30 years of fast developing, our company has set a formidable position in the domestic pharmaceutical field with registered capital of over USD10 million. Consisting of four spacious manufacturing facilities in Shanghai City with GMP certified, we have more than one thousand employees.



The strong R&D force of SIPI makes us stand out from pharmaceutical manufacturers, as an innovation-based company with disciplined practices, providing custom eservice, contract manufacturing and product sourcing.



As a global producer of suppositories, film-coating premixing systems, APIs and biochemicals, we started exporting by ourselves since 1996. The export turnover hit USD10 million in 2005.



Our company is competitive in exporting outsourcing products in China, benefiting from the extensive relationships of SIPI with large numbers of Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturers, who are transferees and beneficiaries of the research findings of SIPI.
