team of individuals with extensive experience in the distribution,
engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing of electrical and
electronic components. The management team at CNNT gained
experience by working for companies, such as DINKLE Include and
Phoenix Contact, and numerous custom machine builders along with
system integrators. During their time with these companies, our
engineers had the opportunity to learn about the products supplied
by many of our competitors. This hands-on user experience has
provided CNNT and our customers with invaluable support as we now
provide products to address many of the downfalls of similar
products.
The sales and marketing team having the opportunity to learn from
many customers while working for companies such as Phoenix Contact
just was what were their needs which were not being met and what
were the complaints. For example, many customers just could not
understand why you had to call the factory or a distributor to find
out a price or delivery information. Customers were constantly
asking for a price list so that they could do their job quickly and
efficiently.
Driven by the experience gained at these companies and the feedback
from the market, CNNT was formed in February of 1998. Our mission
was to launch a company that continually looked for ways to make it
easy for our customers to do business with us as a supplier. Our
first initiative was to make sure that we provided trouble free
high quality products and services. We have partnered with some of
the leading manufacturers in Europe and CNNT provides these high
quality products at competitive prices. In addition, we established
an engineering and manufacturing operation that utilizes the
previous experience gained in the market and today we offer UL
approved products and custom designed products such as interface
modules made right here in Carlisle and Pennsylvania.
Many of the suppliers that we have partnered with are leaders in
their respective markets and most have been in business from 20 to
over 50 years. The result is that we at CNNT can draw upon the
resources of major corporations to insure that we have the
products, the quality and the needs of our customers addressed now
and in the future. We are happy to let you know that we have done
business with over 3,000 customers internationally including
companies such as ABB, Westinghouse, General Electric, Tyco
International, Siemens, General Motors and Intel. We have the
capability to provide standard off the shelf products or work
directly with customers on the customer design of terminal blocks,
power supplies, interface modules and sensors.
Finally, we realized that when we started our business, the market
was changing in many ways and indeed many customers were faced with
global competition, falling prices, reduced work staff and
increased market pressure. Where there were once 10 engineers,
there are now 2. The same can be said of CNNT agents and buyers.

forced to find ways to reduce costs. CNNT has addressed these
issues by partnering with very competitive suppliers, by keeping
our overhead and costs as low as possible and by launching one of
