Pharmacology:
Ivermectin, a type of antiparastic, has high helminthic efficacies on internal parasites, especially on eelworms and arthropods. It can increase the parasite’s release of GABA, open the C1 channel controlled by glutamic acid, and strengthen the neurilemma’s penetrability to C1, so as to block the transmission of nerval signals, paralyze the parasite’s nerves, deprive the muscle cells of contracting capability, causing the death of parasite. After absorbed, the product is widely distributed in tissues, with liver and fat enjoying the highest concentration. This product is usually oxidized to metabolite in liver.
