Moisture: 12% maximum
Glycyrrhizic acid: 3.5 % (HPLC) minimum
Flabby roots, particles of white color, parts of other plants etc.: 4 % maximum
Ground, sand, stones: 1.8 % maximum
Mould and rottenness: not admitted
Poisonous plants and their parts: not admitted
Infectiousness with warehouse pests: not admitted
Tolerance: 12 % of licorice roots and rhizomes may have thickness 3-7 mm
Appearance and dimensions: length is different, thickness 7-30 mm. Roots are covered with grey-brown thin cork layer. Roots are light yellow in fracture.
