The AUTOSORT MC Range uses a rapid sequence of different colouredlights to obtain ‘more than colour information’ from the product.Often, even very similar colours can be differentiated. Theinfra-red capability improves detection of foreign bodies. Thecamera information is processed by an ultra-fast digital signalprocessor, and commands are sent to one or more ejectors to removethe unwanted item efficiently.
The MC-A is specifically configured for efficient sorting ofdifficult to handle, lightweight products such as green herbs orflakes. After being spread on a vibratory feeder, the productaccelerates down a chute and is inspected by the 2048 pixelline-scan camera. Defects and contaminants are removed by shortpuffs of air from ejectors built into the feed system. The uniqueshape of the chute and configuration of ejectors ensure very highefficiency of defect removal and low wastage of good product.

The Autosort MC-C range uses a laned vibratory conveyor and chuteto singulate and align the carrots for presentation to the cameras.The 4 fast scanning cameras inspect for colour and shape incombination with a rapid sequence of multi coloured lights toobtain “more than colour” information from the product. Often, evenvery similar colours can be differentiated, and the infra redcapability improves detection of soft rot and foreign bodies.
Cameras above and below the product means that the MC-C canefficiently sort the defects showing from only one aspect. Crowndefects are identified separately. Size and shape parameters areall user settable.
