Principle:
- The sieve box which is normally equippedwith two-layer sieves is supported by hollow rubber springs and iscaused to oscillate by one or two vibrators depending on machineexecution.
- The grain is spread by a feeder across theentire width of the machine, and then the product stream isstratified on the pre-separation screen according to its specificgravity by the oscillating motion of the screen and by the airflowing through the product from bottom to top. The light particlescollect at the top, and the heavy ones including the stones at thebottom.
- The lower layer with the heavy particlesflows upward and is fed to the final separation zone of the bottomde-stoning screen. Final separation of the stones from the grain isaccomplished by a countercurrent ofair.
- The stone-free product streams on the twoscreens float on cushions of air, flowing slowly toward the productoutlet, and then are discharged through the squeezed rubbervalves.
- To achieve the optimum degree ofseparation, the inclination of the screens, the air volume andfinal separation can be adjustedaccordingly.

- A fan is equipped on the air-recyclingtype and a special separator is installed ahead of the fan. Theseparator deflects the aspirated air through a lamellar system sothat dust and chaff are separated from the air and discharged by anairlock valve while the cleaned air is recycled by the fan in theair return pipe to the destoner.
