Surgical blades are widely used to cut parenchyma ofmankind.
1. Technical target for sterile surgical blades
The sterile surgical blades are manufactured in accordance withrequirements for surgical 0blades and blade-handles in NationalIndustry Standard-YY/T0174—0175—2005and fitting dimension betweensurgical blade and handle in GB8662—88, ISO7740—1985(E).
2. Instructions for use
a.Test firmness of sealing the aluminum foil to see whether thesurface has been damaged or not. Surgical blade is invalid ifdamaged.
b. Tear out aluminum foil following the word “OPEN”.
c.To avoid pollution from microphyte on operator’s fingers, donot touch blade when tear out to open.
3. Storage and transportation
Sterile surgical blades should be stored at a good draughtcondition with no corrosive gases. Relative humidity should nothigher than 80% to prevent rust caused by moisture. Environmentshould be clean. When moved, pollution and damage should not happento outer cases to keep sterile of the blades.
4. Validity
Validity of carbon steel surgical blades and stainless steelsurgical blades is 5 years after sterilized on condition thatstorage rules are well executed.
5. Attention
- Surgical blade should not be used when the unit package isdamaged or out of expiry date.
- Surgical blade should not be used second in order to preventcross-infection.
- The used surgical blade should be droped in metal barrel toprevent pollution or injury.
- To touch other things is prohibited when using surgicalblades.
