What is Cranberry Extract?
Cranberry is a perennial, ornamental shrub that is commonlyfound in various climates in damp woodlands and moorlands. In theUnited States they are known as huckleberries, and there are over100 species with similar names and fruit throughout the Europe,Asia and North America. The English call them whortleberries. TheScots know them as blaeberries. Cranberry has been used as amedicinal herb since the 16th century.
It is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E,Proanthocyanidins, anthocyanidins, , , and so on, with a very goodantioxidant, antimicrobial and purification efficiency.
Proanthocyanidins is able to inhibit bacteria material, therebyreducing infection by the human risk. Improve atherosclerosis,artery to restore flexibility, more blood flow for the preventionof cardiovascular disease and improve the obvious effect.
Where will be Cranberry P.E use to?
There is some human evidence supporting the use of cranberry juiceand cranberry supplements to prevent urinary tract infection (UTI),although most available studies are of poor quality.
There are no clear dosing guidelines, but given the safety ofcranberry, it may be reasonable to recommend the use of moderateamounts of cranberry juice cocktail to prevent UTI innon-chronically ill individuals.
