ProductIntroductions
Borosilicate glass has a very good homogeneity and veryhigh transparency in the UV/visible/near IR range. The glass haslow thermal expansion and high thermal resistance that make itparticularly suitable for areas of application where hightemperatures and thermal gradients are involved.
Thermal Properties
Borosilicate glass has one of the lowest coefficientsof thermal expansion for conventional glass materials, thisprovides with good thermal shock resistance. Combined with amaximum long term use temperature of 450°C, whichmakes borosilicateglass a good choice for applications requiringgood thermal stability.
