       Honest Horse metal abrasive mainly covers:Steel shot,Steel grit, Chilled Iron grit, Steel cut wire shot, Stainless steelshot, Copper shot, Zinc shot, Aluminum shot,etc.

      Steel grit is crushed steel shot. They have sharp edges that helps cleaning the surfaces easly. They

are used for different aplication (ship building, pipe building,  steel construction, granite cutting,  tank 

manufacturingetc.). Our products are very successful in abrasive blasting operations. Because we apply 

a specialheat treatment. After this heat treatment, steel grits have unifom martensitic microstructure.

       This product adopts the raw materials which are carefully selected, and are added with the alloys with 

the best proportion, and are transformed into steel grains after electric furnace smelting. In the process of the

 liquid metal forming steel grains, its chemical composition and granularity are strictly controlled, in order to

 guarantee that its mechanical characteristics conform to various usages. After high temperature process, the 

steel grains break into steel grit which is classified into various specifications of grit by the automatic screen

 classification system.

   The hardness degree of GL steel grit is higher than the GP steel grit, but their edge angles are rounded 

when sand blasting operation, so they are especially suitable for the pretreatment operation of steel surface 

oxide skin removing. The hardness degree of GH steel grit is very high, and it maintains edge angles when 

sand blasting operation, so it’s especially effective to forming the regular and hairlike surface. This kind of 

steel grit is mainly used in compressed air shot blasting equipment.

 Steel shot blasting
     Blast cleaning is the ideal cleaning process prior to forming, shearing,  rolling, painting or galvanizing.
Shot Blasting uses fine steel media to clean, descale and remove rust from parts. Parts are "sprayed" with 

shot, similar to sandblasting, revealing the original bright metallic appearance. The restored surface has a 

uniform luster, optimized for lube adhesion.

   Blast cleaned steel reduces wear on shears, punches and roll-formers by removing abrasive mill scale. This can allow immediate painting. Blast cleaning also eliminates the need for post fabrication cleaning process. Shot blasting consists of attacking the surface of a material with one of many types of shots. Normally this is done to remove something on the surface such as scale, but it is 

also done sometimes to impart a particular surface to the object being shot blasted, such as the rolls used to make a 2D finish. The shot can be sand, small steel balls of various diameters, granules etc. The device that 

throws the shot is either a large air gun or spinning paddles which hurl the shot off their blades.
