What’s vacuum forming:
Alsocalled custom thermoforming, pressure forming, plastic blister orplastics thermoforming, is a simple process that uses heat tosoften a plastic sheet, and then vacuum to suck it down tightlyagainst a pattern or mold. The plastic quickly cools and retainsthis shape.Example products include containers, lids, trays,clamshells and blister packaging for medical, food, electronics andconsumer products.
Vacuum Forming Machined process:
1.Extruding plastic sheet:
ABS,PVC, PS, HIPS, PP, PE, PC, PMMA resin granules are extruded orco-extruded into thermoplastic sheet or plate that textured,smooth, gloss or matt, fire retardant and UV resisted
2.Vacuum forming:
Afterbeing heated, the plastic sheet is stretched onto or into a mould,and held against the mold by applying vacuum between the mouldsurface and the sheet to form designed shapes.
3.Cooling to keep shape:
onceformed the plastic need to cool before being released from themould. To speed up the cooling cycle, fans are fitted and activatedonce the plastic part is formed.
4.Machine large products:
Our machine could be restructuredto make larger plastic vacuum forming plastic products, withmaximum dimensions of 2800*1500*800*10mm(L*W*H*T)
5.Trimming edges:
Extramaterial is firstly trimmed before more accurate processing. Sawingis often used in the stages. Polishing is made additionally tosmooth the edges.
6.Drilling holes:
Drillingoften follow the trimming. Other post forming processes includedecoration, printing, strengthening, reinforcing andassembly.
7.CNC Processing:
Formore accurate and faster speed vacuum forming plastic productsprocessing, CNC is often used. The machine is computer programmedto select correct cutting tools and angle to suit eacharea.
8.Examination and checking:
Beforepackaging, all our vacuum forming plastic products will becarefully checked in terms of dimensions, surface finish, strength,color requirements and so on.
9.Cleaning and Packaging
Allvacuum forming plastic products are cleaned before packaging.Products are wrapped with plastic film to prevent scratches andcartoon boxes are used or other methods are applied asrequired.
