Four season oolong tea was found by a tea farmer in his teagarden at Mu Zha area in Taipei but not found by TRES. So this is akind of wild tea. The character is also wild which has a strongvigor. At the time when a farmer went to his farm and notice some sof the tea trees are growing very fast when other tea tree even nothave any tea leaf buds. So he planted this tea and found this teacould harvest 7-8 times a year. Even it could be cropped in thelate winter time or early winter. So people were given it the nameFour Season Oolong. This is just match the character of this teaplant. Because this four season plant yield a large quantity oftea. Therefore more and more tea farmers were start growing thisShi Ji Chun plant since 10 years ago.
Most of the four season oolong tea are now growing in the SongPo Ling area, Ming Jian township, Nantou county in Taiwan where isat the medium and the region one of the main region crops largestquantity of machine cuts tea and organic Taiwan oolong teaproduction area. The elevation is about 400-600m above sealevel.
Four Season oolong has a fresh flowery aroma. Some people say itis very like Chinese Tie Guan Yin. Because of its strong aroma. AndI think because Tie Guan Yin is also has a wild character.
