Manufacturing Characteristics of theCapacitor
The structure of the capacitor is composed of lowpower voltage flat capacitive elements. The elements are set inpacks and connected in series and in parallel to reach the ratedpower and voltage. The Capacitors can be made from two types ofdielectrics.
Mixed: This type is composedof two layers of polypropylene film and a layer of paper heldbetween two aluminum plates. It is currently used only forcapacitors used for special applications.
All Film: This type iscomposed of several layers of polypropylene film with a roughsurface, held between aluminum plates.
Electrodes: Are made of thinsheet of pure aluminum. The extended fail winding constructiongives the capacitors a very high resistance to peaks of currentthat occur during energizing.
