Description:

Bi-metal Ag alloy (AgCdO, AgNi, AgSnO2, ...) and copper contactrivet used in production of switching devices.

Omega Contact Technologies Contact Rivets

Therenowned OmegaContact Technologies electricalcontact rivets are manufactured using state-of-the-art cold headingmachinery designed and developed in the US and Japan. Whilemaintaining our record of using highest-quality imported silveralloys produced via both Powder metallurgy (PM) and InternalOxidation (IO) contact material, the high production rates achievedin our pressurized air conditioned clean rooms translate into fastdelivery, and high quality.

Contact Rivets

Omega Contact Technologies electrical,high-precision contact rivets are manufactured using the mostpowerful, modern, and unique cold heading machines designed anddeveloped in the US and Japan by Ayase Seiki.

Highquality raw material, sophisticated quality control process andskilled and experienced technicians, haveenabled OmegaContact Technologies tohandle a wide spectrum of demands in this category, withoutstanding quality.

Somegeneral features of OmegaContact Technologies contactrivets are:

I.  High quality raw material

base material - Copper: Thecopper used in our contact rivets are Iranian-mined, oxygen-free,Electrolytic Tough Pitch, C11000 (ASTM/UNS) copper, with purity of>99.95% and conductivity exceeding 101% of IACS specification.

Contact material - Silver alloys: Weuse silver alloys of AgCdO, AgNi, AgSnO2, and AgCu, based oncustomer’s requirements. Alloy decomposition requirements are alsodictated by the requirements (in most applications, AgCdO12,AgNi10, and AgSnO10 are used as alloy decompositions). Given a vastarray of top, international, silver wire suppliers at our disposal, and most updated technology used in our production, both silverwires produced via Powder metallurgy (PM) and Internal Oxidation(IO) technologies are available, depending on customer''srequirements.

II. Wide range of head and shank diameters:

Headdiameter ranges from 2.0 mm to 12.00 mm.

Shankdiameter ranges from 1.0 mm to 4.0 mm.

III. High bonding between contact material (silver alloy) and basemetal (copper)

Weutilize the cold heading technology in production of contactrivets. This translates to more than 95% bonding (sticking, welding) strength compared with intermolecular bonding strength(other techniques of welding provide a maximum of 75% stickingstrength), as well as much lower manufacturing cost.

Inaddition to this, we take advantage of special annealing processafter production of rivets to increase bonding, as well as ensurecontact hardness required by the customer.

IV. High-speed production rate and fast delivery

Thanksto our state-of-the-art Japanese cold heading machines with veryhigh stability in compare to other much lower-priced machines usedby a majority of our competitors, we can produce up to 1.85 contactrivets per second per machine. Given this fact, as well as ourquantity of machines and highly trained technicians and operatorsskilled in Japan, we have very short lead times, and lowerproduction cost than many our competitors.

V. Pressurized air conditioned production floor (“clean-house”)ensuring the sterile environment required for electronicapplications

Ourproduction place is fully air conditioned and sterile in order toensure best quality contacts as possible.

VI. Consultation on contact design and development

Weoffer free consultation and product samples to all inquiries, letit be from a potential customer or not. Consultation includes helpin choosing the suitable contact material alloy and contact sizefor the application.
