Portland cement is general purpose cement. It is suitable forall uses where the special
properties of other type are not required. It is used wherecement concrete is not subject to
specific exposures, such as sulphate attack from soil orwater.
Standard Specification
It is produced according to the Egyptian standards ES4756/1-2007
Practical Main Application
Its use include reinforced concrete structures, bridges, railwaystructures, tanks &
reservoirs, culverts, pipes, floors, pavements & sidewalks,masonry units.
Storing
• Cement bags should be stored in a dry place and kept away froma humid environment.
• Bags are stacked over wooden pallets.
• Cement bags should be covered in case of humid & rainyweathers.
• Don’t stuff more than 8 bags over each other.
Validity
• 6 weeks from the packing date, provided that it’s properlystored as previously
mentioned instructions.
• Cement should be re-tested before use after this period.
