The airbrush is small in size and is generally available insingle action external mix type airbrush where the air leaves theairbrush before it comes into contact with the paint which are bestsuited for covering larger areas with more viscous paints or thedouble action airbrush which separates the function for air andpaint flow with this internal mix airbrush the paint and air mixinside the tip of the airbrush creating a finer atomized state ofpaint. The user can control the volume of airflow and theconcentration of paintflow through two independent mechanisms. Thisgives the user greater control and more flexibility with variousartistic and desired effects. This advanced version compared withthe single action airbrush is more complicated and tends to commanda higher price. Airbrushes are operated via compressed air throughan airhose with the air source being a compressor or a can ofcompressed air. The airbrush is capable of spraying various mediaincluding ink and dye but mostly used for spraying specializedairbrush paint.
