4. Application Bond strength isdependent upon the amount ofadhesive-to-surfaceTechniques contactdeveloped. Firm application pressure helps develop better adhesivecontact and improves bond strength. To obtain optimumadhesion, the bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and well unified. Some typical surface cleaning solvents are isopropyl alcohol orheptane. Note: Carefully read and follow the manufacturersprecautions and directions for use when working withsolvents. Ideal tape application temperature range is 70°F to100°F (21°C to38°C). Initial tape application to surfaces attemperatures below 50°F (10°C) is not recommended because theadhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once properlyapplied, low temperature holding is generallysatisfactory. 5.General All tapes have a film carrier, which can adddimensional stability toInformation foams and other substrates. The carrier alsoprovides easier handling during slitting and die-cutting.
6.Features Adhesive is amedium-firm acrylic adhesive system featuring both high initialadhesion and good high temperature holding power.
