1.Distribution:
Refining of ferrosilicon materials more concentrated in the area rich in hydropower resources in China. In terms of provinces in China, sichuan, gansu, qinghai, Inner Mongolia and other places is main production of ferrosilicon.
2.Production Process:
Silicon, is composed of iron and silicon ferroalloy. In coke, scrap steel, quartz (silica) as raw material, made by electric furnace smelting iron silicon alloy. Commonly used as a reducing agent.
3.Features:
(1) particle size uniformity;
(2) inoculation effect better than the common ferrosilicon, tend to produce slag is small;
(3) extend the die life, reduce surface defects;
4.Application:
Silicon steel are used for bulk deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation. When adding a certain amount of silicon steel, it can significantly increase the hardness and elasticity. The strength of steel will improve steel magnetic permeability and reduce hysteresis loss of transformer steel has obvious effect. In nodular iron production, is a kind of important inoculant and spheroidizing agent.
My company makes model for silicon content in ferrosilicon FeSi is min45%~ 80%, the particle size of 10 ~ 50 mm and 50 ~ 100 mm two types.

(5)Ferrosilicon is often used as reducing agent in iron alloy production and chemical industry .
