POLYBOOSTTM 165 is an n-Alpha Olefin derived waxypolymer.  POLYBOOSTTM 165 has the ability to bindthe oil in paraffins and disperses colorants and fragrances intothe paraffin phase.  When added in low concentrations to crudescale or slack wax, POLYBOOSTTM 165 polymer yields ablend which is harder, yet has basically the same melt viscosity,cloud point, and melt point as the paraffin.

POLYBOOSTTM 165 has been found to be noticeably moreeffective than stearic acid for adding opacity and for impartingresistance to thermal shock.
