Properties and Application
·Colorless, transparent oily liquid, b.p.255°C, freezing point-50°C, refractive index 1.4423 (20°C).
·This product is an ideal water-based coalescent agent, and haspreferable film-forming effect to a various kind of emulsionpolymer systems and could reduce minimum film forming temperature.It can be applied in situations that are difficult to form films(e.g. high glass transition temperature, low constructionenvironment temperature), and is extremely appropriate for variouskinds of water-based coating systems such as emulsions, latexpaints and adhesives synthesized from methacrylate, cinnamene andvinyl acetate
·This product is widely used in emulsions, adhesives andarchitectural coating.
·This product can be used directly. After appropriate churning, addAlcohol Ester-12 into the film-forming system. It is recommended toadd Alcohol Ester-12 after the pigments are dispersed. Usually ittakes up around four to eight percent of the emulsion content butnot exceeding 12%.
