SearchSuitTheSearch Suit has been designed specifically for personnel involvedin searching for and clearing of mines and terrorist explosivedevices. Although the Search Suit does not offer the higherprotection of the EOD Bomb Disposal Suit, it is much lighter inweight, provides all-round protection, whilst at the same timebeing comfortable to wear and allowing virtually unrestrictedmovement.
Theouter material of the Search Suit is constructed of fire-retardantNomex IIIA and includes the latest Kevlar new technologyfibres.
TheSearch Suit contains a pocket into which an armoured steel platecan be inserted. The steel plate is an optionalextra.
COMPONENTS
Arms:Separate adjustable sleeves provide optimum movement
Jacket:Provides front, back, side, shoulder and neck protection, with theaddition of up-armouring pockets for inserting optionalceramic or armoured steel plates.
GroinProtector: Removable insert.
Trousers: The uniquedesign provides freedom of movement and optimum protection to thelegs.
Helmet& Visor: These, in conjunction with the search suit's highcollar, provide maximum protection.
