Vulcanized fibertube is manufactured by winding zinc chloride treated paper onmaking mandrel to the predetermined wallthickness.

They are then goingthrough puring, drying, rolling, grinding, and sanding processes toget desired inside and outside diameters. Vulcanized fiber tube hasa density around 1.40 g/cm3.

It has good physicalproperties, mechanical properties, dielectric strength, arcresistance, and arc-quenching characteristics.

Because of itsexcellent machinability,vulcanized fiber tube can be sanded,knurled, spirally cut, threaded, lathed, and easily fabricated tovarious products.

The majorapplications of vulcanized fiber tubes are fuse cartridges, highvoltage cutout fuse liners, lightning arresters, grommets,insulators, and bushings.
