During real hot galvanizing production, surplus molten zinc andzinc accretions on the workpiece from molten zinc are unavoidablebecause of different shapes. Influencing the appearance quality ofthe galvanized workpiece as well as increasing the zinc consumptionnotably, they raise the after-galvanizing treatment work amount. Inorder to solve this difficult problem, our company organizedtechnical personnel to cooperate with some galvanizing factoriesand has developed “special vibrator for hot galvanizing”. Long-termoperation and experiment indicate that the vibrator has stable workproperty, excellent accretion-eliminating results and low repairrate. It is warmly welcomed and well received by hot galvanizingfactories.  

Using method:

1. Hang the lifting ring of the vibrator on the hook oftraveling crane; hang slings on the hook of the vibrator;

2. Insert the fixed end of the steel-wire rope of the crane hookinto the helix cable of the vibrator from the top to the bottom,fix the end and the top end of the cable on a proper location ofthe motor hoist, connect electric source with the cable usingrubber cable and control switch is set on its outside. Weld asupport plate on the shell of the pulley to move the helix cable.(see photo)

3. Adjust the top lifting limit of the hook to properlocation.

4. After the workpiece is completely immersed into molten zinc,switch on the vibrator and make it oscillate. Owing to highoscillating frequency and proper amplitude, vibrating force can betransferred to the workpiece through steel-wire rope, keep it highfrequency vibration in molten zinc, and so “ash and slag” arefloated rapidly, galvanizing time is decreased and coating becomesthinner. After “ash and slag” is completely floated, switching offvibrator and using skimming knife to eliminate floated “ash andslag”. Finally the crane lifts the workpiece from molten zinc at1.2~1.5 m / min speed.   

5. After the whole workpiece leaves molten zinc surface, switchon the vibrator and so the surplus zinc accretions on it fall intothe zinc pot.
