Zinc Stearate
Molecular formula: Zn(C17H35COO)2
Property: It is white flammable nontoxic powderwith good smell and with specific gravity 1.095. It can dissolve inhot common solvent and acid, but not in water, ethanol or aether.It will become to glue when cooled after being heated in theorganic solvent and be decomposed to stearate or salt when meetstrong acid and can absord moisture in air.
Application: If Zinc stearate is too much, itwill decompose PVC or show some black points. It will become towhite zinc sulphide after absorbing sulfide in air to be poor atprimary stainablity. It is not used independently for PVC products,but with any others.
