Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7,also named lipopeptide and Pal-GQPR, isthe reaction product of palmitic acid (q.v.) and a syntheticpeptide, containing glycine, glutamine, proline and arginine. It isclassed as a protein and is used as a miscellaneousskin-conditioning agent. It is also known as N-Palmitoyl Rigin bythe Sederma company of France.
This ingredient is used to counteract skin slackening and to perkup and increase the firmness of the fragile skin area around theeye. It decreases irritation that could lead to puffiness.
