What is Remy Hair?
Remysimply means that the cuticles of the hairs are aligned and goingin one direction, which ensures that the hair will not tangle if itis properly taken care of. Non-Remy is the complete opposite andmeans that the hair cuticles are not aligned which means tanglingwill occur.
How is the hair length measured?
Wemeasure our hair from the start of the weft to the tip of the hairfor accurate measurement.
What is Machine Weft?
MachineWeft is what the hair is sewn on to so that it is able to be sewnonto one''s hair or to be made into clip-in hairextensions.
What is the width of a weft?
Thisvaries as the longer the hair is, the shorter the weft is. However,for example purposes 16" of our Machine Weft hair is approximately9 feet wide.
How much hair should I purchase?
Howmuch hair you purchase is entirely up to you as thecustomer.usually recommend a minimum of 2 bundles (200 grams) forlengths 12" - 16", and 3 bundles (300 grams) for lengths 18" andupwards as it is known that the longer the hair is, the shorter theweft is. However, all of this also depends on your desired volumeand/or style you are trying to achieve, your stylist, the size ofyour head etc. We have had customers who are happy with results of2 bundles and other customers who were satisfied with a minimum of4 bundles.
How much hair is needed for a fullinstall?
EllaHair usually recommend a minimum of 2 bundles (200 grams) forlengths 12" - 16" and 3 bundles (300 grams) for lengths 18" andupwards for a full install.
Can the hair be straightened? And if so will the waves/curls comeback when washed?
AsElla Hair supply 100% Virgin Indian Brazilian….Human Remy Hair itcan be treated the same way you would treat your own hair. So yes,it can be straightened and yes, once washed the hair will restoreits natural waves/curls.
Can my hair extensions be colored? Do you offer a colouringservice?
Yes,your hair extensions can be coloured as much as you like with noproblems. Yes, we do provide a colouring service so do visit theproduct page you are interested in and you will see our shadechart.
Can I go swimming with my hairextensions?
Yes.You can swim with your extensions as much as you like and nothingwill happen (although if you styled it with heat prior to swimming,once you go swimming it will revert to its natural wavy/curlystate). Just make sure you wash your hair with a clarifying shampooto get rid of any chemicals and dirt then follow up with amoisturizing conditioner and air dry or blow dry; whichever youprefer.
How long will my new hair last?
Yourhair will last as long as you take care of it. As our hairextensions are 100% Virgin Indian Remy hair, the hair will alreadyhave a great life span. However, maintaining your hair extensionswell and treating it as if it is your own will help your hair lasta very long time.
