They''re good up to 500''f instead oftheusual 250''f, and they are unaffected by most caustic fluids. Madeentirely of 304 or 316 stainless steel, they are cleanable andreusable, and can withstand differential pressures up to 60 psi.(500 psid units are also available.) You can choose particleretention ratings as fine as 5 microns. Element surfaces can beplain cylindrical, or pleated to increase surface area. Pleatedunits rated 100 microns or finer have an underlying support layerof coarser mesh to prevent pleat collapse. Fabrication is bywelding and crimping; no silver brazing or epoxy bonding is used.Normally all stainless steel pleated & cylindrical filters aresupported with coarser filter media to ensure any direct damages tomain filtering media under process upsets. A bubble point tests canbe done to certify that no opening larger than the specified poresize exist in product joints or seams. No media migration due tostainless steel material. These elements can be back washed &reused.
