Method of Construction for Injection

 

 1.Crack and leakage conditioninspection
Check the process procedure after finding the thickness, width anddepth of crack and leakage condition of the structure.

 

 2.Drilling Operation
Drill directly into crack section if the thickness of concrete isthinner than 10cm. For the thickness of 10~50cm, drill it with 45degree angle by keeping a distance of 1/5 of concrete thickness.Make sure it penetrates the crack section. If the thickness is overthan 50cm, keep the distance of 20~30cm and drill it with 45 degreeangle until it penetrates crack section. And keep drilling bymaintaining the fixed interval. (5 holes per 1 meter. Drill it inzigzags)

 

 3.Packer Installation
Clean the inside of drilled holes with compressor. Make sure thatrubber sleeve of packer and cutting line of tightening nut shouldbe put into the inside of concrete surface when installing. Tightenthe packer completely by using the T-box. (Packer might be damagedif you tighten it too strongly)

 

4.Injection Operation
Inject the waterstopping material by using the high pressure deviceor grease gun.  Maintain the initial injection pressure asaround 40kg/cm and increase the pressure by each 10kg/cm graduallyuntil the waterstopping material flows out from crack section.Water will come out from the crack section first and thenwaterstopping foaming agent and then water stopping liquid at last.If the waterstopping material that is not foamed comes from thecrack section, then move to next packer for injection.

 

 5.Packer Removing Operation
Remove and break the packer by using vise pliers or hammer as atool. If there is still a wet section, then inject the waterstopping material again.

 

 6.Finishing Operation
Remove the water stopping material that is remained on the cracksection. Spreading with the elastic sealing material

 

 

Tips:     : When injectingtight cracks, we have found high success rates by drillingstraight into the crack to a depth of 2/3 the thickness of the wall(always measure and tape your drill bit for depth). High pressurescan be maintained with virtually no spalding blow-outs (as opposedto angle drilling) and excellent grout penetration. Space thepackers every 2.5 - 3 inches and a depth of 5 inches for an 8 inchthick residential wall. Use a low viscosity resin such asLeak-Proof polyurethane foam to assure 100% penetration.
