This series products are compounds polymerized from ethyleneoxide as initiating agent and EO. Soluble in water and manyorganic solvent, owning good lubricity and thermal stability,almost having no toxicity and excitability, being able to occuresterification reaction and etherification reaction with othercompounds. Its water solubility is not affected by electrolysis,while it is not soluble in alkaline solution.
PEG200-300 can be used as organic synthesizing medium and hightemperature required heat carrier. They can be used as wet storageagent, inorganic salt solubilizer and viscosity modifier in dailychemical industry. They are used as softening agent in textileindustry and wetting agent in paper making and pesticideindustry.
PEG400-600 can be used as medical and cosmetic groundmass, andcan be used as lubricant and wetter in rubber and textile industry.They are also used as the material of ether and ester surfactant.This series product can also be used as metal process moldingagent, lubricant and cutting fluid for metal feathering, punchingor forming, grinding cool finish, welding agent and lubricant inpaper making.
