D-Xylose is a component of Xylan which is widely present inplants. Xylose is also present in animal heparin, chondroitin, andglycoproteins, which is the connection unit of certainglycoproteins sugar chain and serine (or threonine). Xylose of freestate has not been found in nature so far.
