Description:
YFA-WFA is produced by fusingalumina block in an electric arc furnace under carefullycontrolled conditions. The material produced is white in color,dense and has predominantly large crystals of Alpha Alumina. Ingotsare crushed, ground, and precision screened in our new sizing plantto obtain very consistent sized fractions. Magnetic iron fromcrushing is removed by rare earth magnets to ensure very low levelsof iron in the finished products. Close sized fractions areavailable or precision blended to specification. This processensures a very consistent sizing from coarse to fines which iscritical in many applications.
Applications:
YFA-WFA is designed for generalindustrial use in operations such as lapping, polishing, refractorycoating for investment cast shells, decorative non-skid tile, andpressure blasting. It is used where a high purity and/or highlyfriable abrasive is desired.
