Olive sand is now widely used in steel and cast iron foundries,it can be applied to sand mould, water based technique, EPC, andfusible pattern technology and so on. Compared with the traditionalquartz sand and chromites sand, it has the followingadvantages:

1. Olivine sand has high refractoriness, which can gives abetter and smoother surface and casting precision.

2. The coating has good density and ventilation property, thecasting will not adhere to sands in the applied range.

3. It has no free Si02 powder, and no emissions of CO or CO2isproduced during the casting, thus putting an end to the damage ofanthracosis, it is environmental friendly.

4. Little amount of CaO or Al2O3 is contained in our olivinesand, it will not absorb water or crush easily, so it can berepeatedly used, and cost will be largely reduced.
