With awide variety of applications, sodium bicarbonate is usedevery
day in the food we eat and products we use. Industrial applicationsutilize sodium
bicarbonate as a reactive carbonate or sodium source and as a pHbuffer. It is used in
environmental applications such as air pollution control, acidneutralization, and water
