Fluidized bed cooler is used tocool high temperature used sand in foundry plant to avoid castingproblems.
Centrifugal air blower is used to fluidize the return sand insidethe chamber. The sand in such condition will do heat exchange withheat exchanger and the cooling air. Water spraying nozzles also aidthe cooling system.
The cooler will consist of a pressure chamber, distribution plate,fabricated cooling chamber and hood.
