I. Description of the product
Thiourea Dioxide (TDO or TUD) isalso named as Formamidine Sulfinic Acid,Aminoinomethane sulfinicacid. Its appearance is white crystal powder. Thiourea Dioxide is astable compound with no strongreducing and oxidizing ability, andits dissolvability is 26.7g/l (20 degrees centigrade), while its PHis 5.0 in saturated solution. TDO appears terrific stable even in20 -30 degrees centigrade solution, but when it is under heat orcatalysesing by alkali, it decomposes gradually to producesulfoxylic acid through formamidine sulfinic acid to exhibit areducing action
II. Applications of theProduct
TDO is a new kind of reducing/bleaching agent thatused as exchange of sodium hydrosulfite. It is
widely used in textile and paper making industry. This product is also used in leather
processing industry, paper, pulp and boardindustry, photographic industry, bleaching and
reducing agents. This product is also a componentof decolorisation agents. In
macromolecule material industry, it is used ascatalysis agent and stabilizer of resinic
producing, and it is also used in organicsynthesization of sensitizing material, and
medicine, medical, spicery materials in finechemicals, and also can be applied in the
recycling and separating of heavy metals.

VI. Storage Points forAttention
Store in a cool (below 30 degrees centigrade ),dry, well ventilated area away from all source of ignition and outof direct sunlight. Keep away from incompatible materials. Keepcontainers tightly closed. Do not store in unlabeled or mislabeledcontainers. Protect from moisture. Do not store near combustiblematerials. Keep containers well sealed, seal only with originalvent cap. Ensure pressure relief and adequate ventilation. Storeseparately from organics and reducing materials. Avoidcontamination which may lead to decomposition.
