about Dimmable LED Light Buls
Conventional dimmers turn the light on and off 100times every second, so quickly that the eye can''t see it. As thelight is dimmed the timethe light is turned on is decreased in each one of the 100 cyclesso less light is emitted, but the cycle is still so fast it cannotbe seen as a flicker. LEDs diming is performed in pretty much thesame way, although there are some technical differences we won''texplore further here. Converse to most technologies, LEDs becomemore efficient with dimming with a typical LED requiring 43% of thepower to generate 50% of the light, versus a 67% of the power required to drive aHalogen lampat 50%. In theory LED can be dimmed to 1% but commerciallyavailable solutions are currently limited to around 10%. Your keyquestion however, is will my conventional dimmer work with our LEDlight and the answer is not a simple yes or no.
