1>BasicIntroduction about Desander

Desander is a key member of solids control equipments ofdrilling fluid that efficiently handle the shale shaker underflow.Its control capacity is 30%~50% higher than the past desander, andit can lead to high drilling speed with low cost .

2>Usage andApplication Scope

As a solids control equipment of the second stage in drillingoperation, desander is used to remove harmful solid particles of40-74µm in drilling liquid.  Suspending particles can beseparated from the liquid under the centrifugal acceleration, byuse of working principle of centrifugal subsidence.

At present time, four types, ZQJ300×2/ZQJ250×2 and ZQJ300×1/ZQJ250×1,are available. The former applies to over 3000-meter-longdrills, and the latter applies to small drills of less than 3000meters and service rig.

3>WorkingPrinciple

When passing through the feed manifold, the pressured drillingfluid flow into the hydrocyclone in the direction of a tangent andspirally revolve downwards with high-speed. The drilling fluidbleed into mud tank through overflow gate and the solid in the mudis cut into the underflow that is drained to shaker screen due tothe centrifugal generated by revolution.
