The most widespread use ofWPCs is in outdoor deck floors, but it is also used forrailings, fences, landscaping timbers, cladding andsiding, park benches, molding andtrim, window and door frames, andindoor furniture. Wood-plastic compositeswere first introduced into the decking market in the early 1990s.Manufacturers claim that wood-plastic composite is moreenvironmentally friendly and requires less maintenance than thealternatives of solid wood treated with preservatives orsolid wood of rot-resistant species. These materials canbe molded with or without simulated wood graindetails. Impervious to water,and invulnerable to insects or fungi that feed on wood, WPC boardhas a ten-year limited warranty against rot, termites, splinteringor cracking. Infinitelyversatile Suitable for any climate, andstunning to look at, WPC boards lends itself to a multitude ofdifferent uses both outdoors and indoors: decking, pontoons,swimming pool surrounds, walkways, paths, steps, outdoor furnitureor paneling, trellises, screens or louvered shutters, wood flooringor wall coverings, cladding, garden arbors or pergolas... Warm and natural looking, it mimics the look and feel of naturalwood to perfection. From flooring to ceilings and walls, the scopeis endless thanks to the special mix of components and the heatextrusion process. Although currently in Europe, Asia, Middle Eastand Russia the main application is for decking and cladding, afundamental change is taking place in the market with a sharpincrease and a vast array of architecturalfeatures. Easy toinstall Our boards are very easy toinstall: the calibrated boards, accessories and fixing clips reducelaying times to half those required when installing hardwooddecking or support structures. Using standard tools, even the mostinexperienced installer can produce straight, neat cuts withoutsplintering. The boards are supplied with an ingenious systemof invisible clips for easy laying and rapid dismantling, (ifrequired) minimizing the number of screws needed. These clipfasteners allow the structure to expand and shrink whilemaintaining firm but elastic contact between the boards and theirsupporting structure. Our invisible clip system allows you tocreate simple, elegant and secure structures, while saving valuabletime on assembly. Minimalmaintenance Guaranteed knot-free,splinter-free, warp-free and with its invisible fixing system, weoffer a safe, non-slip surface. The grained surface of the boardsoffers exceptional adherence. It requires no special maintenanceand is easily cleaned using a high-pressure water jet orhose. The boards can be worked and sanded just like wood, butthe toxic treatments and polyurethane varnish needed to maintainnatural wood are totally superfluous.
