A jaw crusher is generally used as a primary crusher ina crushing circuit.  Product is fed into the top of the jawcrusher by an vibrating grizzly feeder.  The eccentricrotating drive shaft causes the movable jaw to oscillate crushingthe aggregate against a fixed jaw.  Jaw crushers are run onbelt drives driven by an electric motor or diesel engine.  Jawcrushers are used extensively throughout the aggregate and mineralprocessing industry.
