Class AA Forbare conductors usually used in overhead lines.
Class A For conductors to be covered with weather-resistantmaterials and for bare conductors where greater flexibility isrequired.
Compact strand conductor for use in bare overhead applications orfor use with weather-resistant coverings or insulations is alsoavailable.
Classes refer to stranding and are an indication of relativeconductor flexibility, AA being the least flexible, C the mostflexible.

Applications
Used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary andsecondary distribution cable. ACSR offers optimal strength for linedesign. Variable steel core stranding enables desired strength tobe achieved without sacrificing ampacity.
Construction
Aluminum alloy 1350-H-19 wires, concentrically stranded about asteel core. Core wire for ACSR is available with class A, B, or Cgalvanizing; ""aluminized"" aluminum coated (AZ); or aluminum-clad(AW) - please see our ACSR/AW spec for more information. Additionalcorrosion protection is available through the application of greaseto the corer or infusion of the complete cable with grease.
