Whiteness & brightness

        The metalliceffect of e.g. car finishes is achieved by the reflection andscattering of light on the flakes, which are better or worseorientated in the film.
        The visualimpression created depends on the ratio between reflected andscattered light. The proportion of scattered light increases withthe number of edges scattering the light.
        The coarser thepigment, the rounder the shape of the particles, the higher theproportion of reflected light and thus of the brilliance,brightness and color saturation.

Particleshape

    Particleshape varies from irregular flakes(cornflakes) to almost roundparticles(silver dollars). Silver dollars are the latest pigmentgeneration and have excellent optical properties. They are producedin an extremely elaborate process using special, very finegranulates. Its regular particle shape decided its maximal lightreflecting mill finish is hard to be curled and thus have excellentoptical properties.
Silver dollar series and super twinkling series are our mainproducts and both of these two series are silver dollarseries.

 Particle size distribution

        The granules ofthe aluminum flakes are very title so it is impossible that's everygranule has the same size. The proportion of granules in differentsize is called particle size distribution. Particle sizedistribution thus has important effect on the optical properties ofmetallic pigments. More narrow the particle size distribution, moreequal the size of the granules and more excellent the opticalproperties.
