Thrust needle roller bearings are components of small diameterneedle rollers arranged in a spoke like configuration. Needlerollers are equally spaced by means of a cage whose web sectionseparates the rollers and provides guidance to keep them trackingin an orbital path. The purpose of these assemblies is to transmita thrust load between two relatively
rotating objects while greatly reducing friction. Thrust needleroller bearings can also be unitized with lipped washers whichservice as raceway surfaces for needle rollers.
