3D glass fabric is a new materic,which consists of two decklayers bonded together by verticalpiles,these piles are woven into the decklayers thus forming anintegral sandwich structure. Warp direction shows 8 –shape as atypical st-ructure characteristic.
It represents astrong designability,piles density (both in x and y directions),the height of the piles, the types and th-ickness of Glass fibersall could be designed, based on this, it could be developed to avariety of products with different performances and functionsaccording to customers` specific requirements.
It overcomes manydisadvantages such as delamination and poor impact resistance,whichare shown on conven-tional honeycomb core and foam core materials.Furthermore, it has a series of advantages like light-weight,corrosion resistance, high specific strength and modulus ,highimpact damage tolerance etc.
