Product overview

The TC35i GSM engine operating in the GSM 900 MHz and GSM 1800MHz frequency band
is an extremely compact and super slim communication moduleespecially designed for
telemetry, telematic and telephony such as: metering, fleetmanagement, security systems,
POS terminals or vending machines. It is compatible with thepredecessor engine TC35 and
offers additional features such as SIM application tool kit andextended AT commands for
the industrial environment. Please note that the upper voltagelimit has been changed from
5.5V to 4.8V.
The physical interface to the cellular application is made througha ZIF connector. It consists
of 40 pins, required for controlling the unit, transferring dataand audio signals and providing
power supply lines.
The cellular device application forms the Man-Machine Interface(MMI). The serial interface
allows for access to the GSM engine.
For battery powered applications, TC35i features a charging controlwhich can be used to
charge a Li-Ion battery.

Developed primarily for high-volume m2mapplications, the tc35i is employed in the areas of measurement andremote maintenance, transportation and logistics, traffic systems,gateways and access, vending machines, security, health care andbuilding technology.
The link between the tc35i radio module and your application iscreated via a zif connector and a gsc aerial socket. R&tte, gcfand network operator approvals have been obtained, making itsimpler for you to obtain approvals for your own applications.
