The Mifare 1k contactlesssmart rfid card is based on NXP MF1 IC S50, which is connected toacoil with a few turns andthen embedded in plastic to form the passive contactless smartcard. 2. The communication layer(mifare RF Interface) complies with part 2 and 3 of theISO/IEC1443A standard. It is contactless transmission of data andenergy and no battery is needed. 3. Mifare 1k card isfundamentally used for storing memories, while a simple securitymechanism divides the memories into segments. Therefore, it isideal for high volume transactions in all different applications,such as transport ticketing, time attendance solutions, carparking, road-tolling etc. It is mainly used in closed systems asfixed value tickets (e.g. weekly/monthly travelpasses). 4.
