The T1/E1 to ethernet converter is a single port T1 or E1with Ethernet Bridging that provides high-speed LAN-to-WANconnectivity.
Ethernet over T1converter is an Ethernet extension device utilizing TDMtelecom infrastructure (of T1, DS3, SDH or microwave links carryingT1s ). It converts the Ethernet data into T1 frame format fortransmission over the existing TDM (T1) links and then re-convertsthe T1 back into Ethernet data the far-end terminal, to BRIDGE twoEthernet LANs over the existing T1-based telecom network. Thedevice can effectively utilize the existing TDM network totransport Ethernet data with low investment. The device support two protocolE1 and T1,can used as ethernet over T1 converter or ethernet overE1 converter.It is collocated with E1/HDB3 or T1/B8ZSas line interface, E1 can be either framed N*64Kbps (N=1-31) orunframed 2048Kbps, which are also known as channelization andunchannelization. Under the framed mode, it supports options ofCAS/CCS (30 & 31 time slot), and CRC4 auto-adapt. T1 connectsremote LAN through fully transparent unframed 1.544Mbps bandwidth.Transmission clock can be recovered from receiving signal G.703lines and also can work in internal clock mode.
