2)Angular shape and fairly high bulk density will produce a matte surface finish
3)Abrasive is generally reusable many times because of its hardness and durability

5)Rust, scale, or other tough contaminant removal
6)Application must tolerate some metal removal
7)Used for grinding and lapping as well as abrasive blasting
