General speaking, the quartz plate is transparent and transmittance visible light is over 85%.
Quartz plates have good optical performance, it can permeance UV, it is best one in the permeance UV material, it also can permeance IR of visible spectrum.

The quartz glass has three kinds according to optical property.
1. Far UV optical quartz glass JGS1.
It is transparent in the range of UV and Visible spectrum; There is no absorption band within 185-250nm wave, and there is absorption band with 2600-2800nm; Non-luminous, stable optical radiation.
2. UV optical quartz glass JGS2.
It is transparent in the range of UV and Visible spectrum; There is no absorption band within 200-250Nm wave, and there is absorption band with 2600-2800nm; Non-luminous, stable optical radiation.
IR optical quartz glass JGS3.
It is transparent in the range of IR and Visible spectrum; There is no absorption band within 2600-2800 nm wave band. Quartz plate is made of silicon dioxide for special industry, it is a kind of very good basic material. Quartz plate has a series of good physical property and chemical property, as following:
1. Thermostability, the softening point of quartz glass is about 1730 centi degrees, it can be used for long time under 1100 centi degrees, the highest temperature can be reach 1450 centi degrees in short time.
2. Aticorrosion, quartz glass barely make chemical reaction with other acid except HF acid, its acid-resistant ability is 30 times compared to ceramic, and 150 times against with stainless steel, especailly for stable chemical property, other material can not reach that.
3. Good thermal stability. Thermal expansion coefficient is very small, it can bear huge teperature changing, it will not be broken when immerged the water after heated up to 1100 centi degrees.
4. Good transmission of light. Quartz plate has better transmission of light from UV to IR spectrum, The transmission of visible light can reach above 93%, the most biggest transmission can reach above 8% in the areas of UV spectrum.
